Emotions and you - is it important to release negative emotions?
Does the energy field show emotional imbalances?

Role of Emotions
Scientists have been grappling with this notion as to the role and influence of emotions on the human body over the last 30 years. It's been a strongly held old viewpoint that the human immune system is autonomous which means in simple terms, that the immune system is self-regulatory and functions separately and independently from the rest of the body.
A new Western science which has developed over the last twenty years, called
psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), has proven otherwise, instead ,it endorses the philosophy that the mind and body are one. It is the scientific study of the interaction amongst emotions, the brain, and the immune system, some of the body's most complex systems. It springs from healing traditions that are both ancient and modern, Eastern and Western. In other words, the mind and emotions - the way we think and how we feel - profoundly influence our physical well-being.

Dr. Robert Ader

In 1975, the name Psychoneuroimmunology was coined by Dr. Robert Ader, director of the division of behavioural and psychosocial medicine at New York's University of Rochester. Dr. Ader believes that there is a link between what we think (our state of mind) and our health and our ability to heal ourselves. His theories that the human mind could significantly affect the ability of the immune system to fight disease were novel and seemed quite contradictory to mainstream thinking.
So he was initially greeted with intense skepticism and sometimes ridiculed when he first proposed his theories more than 30 years ago. Today they are applied and studied in many medical systems, not only in psychiatry and psychology, but by researchers around the world. Unfortunately Robert Ader, Ph.D., the founder of Psychoneuroimmunology and a professor emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center is no longer with us. He died December 20th, 2011 at the age of 79.
Due to the increasing understanding & research of Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) the old views about the non-influence of emotions on the immune system has become less legitimate. Scientists today are acknowledging that our immune system is profoundly affected by our emotions. Every ill -no matter what it is- acne, arthritis, headaches etc. – is influenced, for better or for worse, by our emotions.
Dr. Stephen Sinatra, author of “Heartbreak and Heart Disease”, considers that emotions are potent contributors to heart disease. He states that more than 50% of all coronary heart disease happens to people with none of the typical physical causes. Rather he feels they are due to hidden emotional risk factors. Negative feelings express themselves as actual pain in the body- similar to the ancient Chinese teachings and understandings of negative or trapped emotions causing ill-health.
The emotions that cause the disease are often the everyday, repetitive, negative feelings over which we feel we have no control. They are usually the ones from our own internal way of experiencing the world and much that was experienced during childhood.
"For this is the great error of our day that the physicians separate the soul from the body"
Hippocrates
"Every thought, emotion, idea or belief has a neurochemical consequence".
Candace Pert, Ph.D., a neuroscientist, biochemist and researcher into the body/mind connection, tells us in her book "Molecules of Emotion', that molecules called neuropeptides are the chemical carriers of our essence, and that the memories and patterns of man are locked into the cellular and perhaps even molecular makeup of his physical being.
According to Pert, bodily emotions are the key, “Emotions are the nexus between mind and matter, going back and forth between the two and influencing both."
Neuropeptides are the molecular language that allows mind, body and emotions to communicate. Neuropeptides (nerve proteins) are biochemicals that regulate almost all life processes on a cellular level, and thereby link all body systems. Thanks to Dr. Pert who isolated the chemsitry of what Dr. Ader first proposed.
According to a well-known author and physician, Dr.Deepak Chopra, who calls himself a quantum biologist, he points out that the significance of the discovery of neuropeptides has shown that the body is fluid enough to match the mind. Dr. Chopra asserts that neuropeptides serve as a point of transformation between thoughts and bodily reactions, i.e. a transformation of non-matter into matter. The information communicated by touch might then elicit the flow of the neuropeptide messenger molecules to facilitate healing. The centre for the brain that deals with emotional issues is the limbic system and in particular the hypothalamus. This plays a central role in the use of aromas and ttheir impact on the olfactory system to emotional memory as well as healing.
So with every thought, feeling, desire, instinct, or drive, that we may have, each of these will affect our nervous system by means of these specific messenger molecules called neuropeptides. Dr. Chopra asserts that the body is a quantum mechanical device and therfore is subject to the laws of quantum physics and not Newtonian physics. One of the most important concepts of quantum biology is that consciousness is 'non-local' that is, it is not localised to any one place.
“Wherever a thought goes, a chemical goes with it”.

Dr. Bruce Lipton

In 1982, Dr. Lipton began examining the principles of quantum physics and how they might be integrated into his understanding of the cell's information processing systems. He produced breakthrough studies on the cell membrane, which revealed that this outer layer of the cell was an organic homologue of a computer chip, the cell's equivalent of a brain. At Stanford University’s School of Medicine, between 1987 and 1992, it was revealed that the environment, operating though the membrane, controlled the behavior and physiology of the cell, turning genes on and off.
Dr. Lipton’s discoveries, which ran counter to the established scientific view that life is controlled by the genes, presaged one of today’s most important fields of study, the science of epigenetics.
Many subsequent papers by other researchers have since validated his concepts and ideas and even popularized the science of epigenetics. .So now we have environment as well as emotions, mainly negative emotions affecting our immunity. Obviously, this concept does make perfect sense as the evidence suggests that many mental and physical dis-eases are preceded by a significant emotional experience. Dr. Hamer's work in oncology validated this concept with over 40,000 cases of pre-trauma experiences related to their cancers, including his own illness due to his son's tragic sudden death. Dr. Hamer was able to identify specific traumas in the brain CAT scans of his patients as to the age of cause and location of the cancer.
In summary then, Our cells and our DNA are more influenced by our thoughts, our beliefs and our imagination than anything else around us. We are not victims of our genetics but rather victims of our environment, which mostly stems from our imagination, past experiences and our beliefs.

What happens in the Bio-field?

What is quite revolutionary is the ability to actually observe the influence of the subconscious patterns on the human energy bio-field. The GDV does allow us to do this accurately and easily.
Matter, energy, and thought is fundamentally vibrational in nature, so that each interfaces with the other in a subtle, but powerful way.
We know that we are beings of light and frequency and the human biofield is an energetic matrix that surrounds the human body. It directly links the cellular activity with the meridian pathways as well as the energy centers called chakras. The energetic field can be compared to a superhighway that allows the DNA ( which is also a spinning vortex of energy) in our cells to communicate faster than light and maintain a coherent wholeness within the individual.

Why aromatic energy psychotherapy?
why do I have a passion for it?
As stated earlier, the centre for the brain that deals with emotional issues and in particular the hypothalamus is --the limbic system— and it is also responsible for our sense of smell. The same center is related to feelings and memory. What this means is simply this – our quickest access route to our emotions is through smell. This is also true for our spiritual connection to our Divinity or our God-Head as the Pineal Gland is also located in the limbic system.
•Research has shown that aromas cause the receptors to trigger electrical impulses to the olfactory bulb deep into the ‘old’ brain or limbic system within milliseconds.
•In combining psychotherapy and energy psychology techniques along with aromatic sciences seems to be a most powerful combination in accessing and healing emotions as well as deepening the emotional/spiritual self.
So why not utilize something that is so fundamental in our own anatomy?
Over the years, I have found by observing the energy fields - and firstly raising awareness about what is happening in my clients' fields, - which I refer to as 'their 'awareness mirror' and then introducing essential oils to them to apply on key points with inhalation, focus and intent - shifted my clients dramatically. It is definitely a much needed area to expand in psychotherapy!!
When one of my clients booked an appointment with me for an energy field analysis because of a long time back problem - he was stunned to learn what was the real cause. read more.....
